Hi all and welcome to the new East Room Restaurant

"Here at Plassey House, my team and I are buzzing with excitement, getting busier by the day and enjoying the many compliments we have been receiving from our guests.

I have been lucky enough to have gained invaluable experience working in some of Ireland’s greatest hospitality venues such as Dromoland Castle, The Treasury and Les Gourmandaises and one lesson I have learnt is that every fine dining event should create a fondly held lasting memory, should be based on only the best of primarily local and Irish ingredients and should always be a new experience worth talking about and worth coming back for.

For some time, I had been looking for the right venue which would allow me to fully realise my passion for really good food at affordable prices so when an opportunity came up to take over The East Room at Plassey House, I did not hesitate. It is a truly magnificent setting, steeped in local history and has recently benefited from a historically true and architecturally sympathetic re-furbishment. The East Room, having been the formal dining room of Plassey House for more than two hundred years, would have hosted some of the finest Gala dinners for the people of Limerick and the mid-west for centuries and we like to think that what we are doing here now would impress even the most critical of ancestral VIP diners.

I also believe that authentic fine dining should be affordable to the many, not the few, so we have set our three course Table D’hote dinner menu at €37.50 PP and our lunch menu starting at a very reasonable €25.00 PP.
